There’s nothing that is more important than your answer to this question.
Consider these truths:
God loves you and has a plan for your life.
John 3:16 tells us that “God so love the world that He gave his only
begotten Son that whoever believes
in Him should not perish but have
eternal life.”Not only this, but Jesus
Himself said, “I came that they may
have life and have it abundantly”
(John 10:10b).Do you want to have a
fulfilling life that comes only by
being in a right relationship with
God?
But our sin separates us from God.
In the book of Romans we are told that “all have sinned and fall short
of the glory of God (3:23) and
that the wages of sin is death,
but the gift of God is eternal life
in Christ Jesus our Lord
(6:23).Do you want the wages you
have earned through sin or the gift
that God offers?
So God’s love led Him to provide a way for our sins to be forgiven—the death
of Jesus Christ on the cross.
“God demonstrates His own love for us in that
while we were still sinners, Christ
died for us,” “the righteous for the
unrighteous, that He might bring us
to God, being put to death in the
flesh” (Romans 5:8 and 1 Peter
3:18).
But we must receive Jesus as our Savior to be right with God.
This
means:
-
Asking forgiveness for and turning
from our sins.
-
Believing what the Bible teaches
about Jesus
-
Confessing our newfound faith
publicly.
-
Surrendering control of our live to
Jesus as Lord.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”Romans 10:13
